Located at 42-17 Broadway, Long Island City, NY 11103, Island Bakery operates as an asian bakery serving Long Island City in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.
The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. Typical hours are 5:30 AMβ6 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 80 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded asian bakeries in Long Island City.
Long Island City is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Long Island City follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Really bad service. I just left the place and they treated me really bad. One of the Spanish girls was very rude with me. After I put sugar on my coffee I asked her where I can find the trash can because there is none and she said... right there where there were not any trash can and she gesture with her hands as if to say go away, turned back and went inside the premises. We understand that in the morning the place might be busy but these girls need to behave. I didn't say anything because today is Thanksgiving but any other other I'd have said something. Please owners train your staff better. And for sure I'm not coming back.

Moved down the street from this place a few months ago and finally stopped in yesterday with my mom. A good friend who has lived in this area for 40 years keeps bugging me about trying the zucchini pie at this place so I finally did. It was delicious! Kind of like a squash casserole you would get in the south but a lot firmer and with some Stovetop Stuffing vibes. Great and only 10 bucks for an entire pie. We also got two chocolate croissants, a cannoli, and a loaf of bread all for 20 bucks. Great staff too. Highest possible recommendationβ-MUCH better than Gian Petro or other more hyped longstanding Astoria bakeries.

I stopped in after some friends who are regular customers kept raving about their croissants. Blueberry cheese..can it be?! I visited the bakery today and enjoyed a lit bit of heaven. Such a cozy and clean bakery and everything looks wonderful. I'll definitely be going back. Can't wait to try the kataifi! Very friendly staff too. Highly recommend!

As I was passing by, the bread π₯ in the window looked delicious, so I stopped in. Itβs simple, but delicious. And reasonably priced. Iβll be a regular.
